COMMUNITY SOLAR PUBLIC INFO ONLINE MEETING DECEMBER 16
Program will lower electricity costs, access 100% renewable electricity
As a member of Monroe Community Power, the Town of Pittsford is increasing our community’s access to 100% renewable electricity, while lowering the electricity costs of our residents and small businesses. Find out more at our upcoming online Public Information Session to be held Wednesday, December 16.

In partnership with the Town of Irondequoit and Village of Pittsford, we are now launching a Community Solar program that also will raise funds for our communities. For each enrollment in Community Solar, program administrator Joule Community Power will donate $50 to a Town of Pittsford Sustainability Fund, which will be used for a future sustainability project in our community.

Community Solar allows participants to tap into the benefits of solar without needing to install their own solar panels.  Participants also save up to 10% on their RG&E electricity bill. Please note, those who have their own solar panels already receive solar credits and are not eligible to enroll in the Community Solar program.

Community Solar represents the next step in Pittsford’s longstanding commitment to a healthy and sustainable environment. We’re pleased to be able to offer it to our residents and small businesses.

A letter from Town Supervisor Bill Smith was recently mailed to residents announcing our Community Solar initiative through Monroe Community Power.  For further information, and to enroll in the program, visit: www.monroecommunitypower.com/enroll .

For answers to any questions you may have, and to receive help with enrollment, call our local program partner Roctricity at (585) 244-0244.

Please join Supervisor Bill Smith and the Monroe Community Power team to learn more about the program at our online Public Info Session on Wednesday, December 16 at 6:00pm.  RSVP at www.bit.ly/pittsford-solar-1216 to receive the virtual meeting details.
