Department Services

The Town of Pittsford puts a high priority on informing the public, directly, about events, programs, issues and services. The Director of Information initiates, coordinates and sustains relationships with various constituencies, especially the general public and the media, ensuring a flow of information to and from town government regarding its policies and procedures, increases awareness of town programs, services and recreational and involvement opportunities.

The town's Communications Department provides a variety of publications for residents including a quarterly print newsletter, a weekly online newsletter, and several specialized mailings pertaining to events and seasonal services. The town's web site content is managed by the Communications Department and support is given to local nonprofit groups in getting their messages out through the Community Bulletin Board as seen on cable channel 12.
