The time is right for an Earth Day story come to life – and some crafty fun! Stop by the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center Monday, April 19 through Saturday, April 24 and take a stroll through our “Earth Day, Birthday” story walk in the Community Center field. Follow a story full of Earth Day activities – and some drama! It's April 22, and Lion, Giraffe, Crocodile and other animal friends want to plant trees, recycle bottles and have fun on Earth Day, but Monkey wants to celebrate his birthday instead. Can "the silliest monkey ever seen" share a birthday with Earth Day?
Participants are asked to follow physical distancing guidelines and bring a face mask to wear when within 6 feet of those outside of their group.
Once you have completed the walk, stop at the Community Center front desk and pick up a themed craft pack to take home! Craft packs are available Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 6:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am – 5:00pm.

Join the Town of Pittsford Recreation Department for a free event on Wednesday, April 21 celebrating the day before Earth Day! Stop by the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center between 1:00pm and 4:00pm to plant seeds, enjoy our “Earth Day, Birthday” Story Walk, and more. To ensure we have enough supplies, please register each child that will be participating in this event; children must be accompanied by an adult.
