Pittsford honors their veterans

Veterans Monument

On Saturday, November 11, 2006, the Town of Pittsford dedicated a Veterans Monument honoring all Pittsford veterans. The monument lists the names of twenty-one hometown heroes - Pittsford veteran casualties - who gave their lives while serving our nation in combat in WWI, WWII and in Korea, Vietnam and Iraq.

The monument site provides a space for citizens to recognize all other Pittsford residents who have defended the cause of freedom. The walkway surrounding the dedication plaque will accommodate personalized bricks that may be purchased to pay tribute to family members and friends who have served in the American military.
