PRESENT
Supervisor William A. Carpenter and Councilpersons Sandra F. Zutes, John J. Higgins Jr., Karen W. Green were present.

ATTENDANCE
There were nine members of the public in attendance.

SUPERVISOR'S COMMENTS

  • Supervisor Carpenter noted that the final Summer Concert is being held on Friday, August 8th beginning at 6:30 P.M. He said that this concert features the Pittsford Firemen's Band and a fundraiser hosted by the American Legion. Members of the Rayson-Miller Post will be selling hot dogs, sausages and cold drinks during the concert.
  • Supervisor Carpenter discussed the Knickerbocker Road project and noted that it is ahead of schedule. He extended his kudos to Commissioner of Public Works Paul Schenkel and Pittsford Highway employees for their efforts on this project.

PUBLIC HEARING: PROPOSED SEWER DISTRICT EXTENSION JHSD NO. 150 (LANDS OF CROSS MEADOW SUBDIVSION AND 784 STONE ROAD)
At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Town Board approved Jefferson Heights Sewer District Extension #150 (lands of Cross Meadow Subdivision and 784 Stone Road).

PUBLIC HEARING: PROPOSED LOCAL LAW #4 OF 2008 - ADDING CHAPTER 95, FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION AND REPEALING ARTICLE XVI OF CHAPTER 185 OF THE TOWN OF PITTSFORD MUNCIPAL CODE ENTITLED "FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION"
At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Town Board approved Local Law #4 of 2008: Adding Chapter 95, Flood Damage Prevention and Repealing Article XVI of Chapter 185 entitled "Flood Damage Prevention" of the Town of Pittsford Municipal Code.

INCENTIVE ZONING AMENDMENT FOR KILBOURN PLACE (3500 - 3524 EAST AVENUE) APPROVED
The public hearing for the proposed amendment to the Kilbourn Place Incentive Zoning application (3500-3524 East Avenue) was held on July 1 2008, and was approved at this Town Board meeting.

IN OTHER ACTIONS, THE TOWN BOARD:

  • Authorized the mowing of property at 398 Mendon Road
  • Authorized an Easement Encroachment and Hold Harmless Agreement for 80 Harper Drive
  • Accepted the Court Audit
  • Amended the mileage reimbursement rate in accordance with the IRS approved rate
  • Appointed Karen Robida of the Pittsford Branch of Canandaigua National Bank and Trust to be a Deputy Receiver of Taxes for the 2008/2009 School Tax and 2009 Town and County Tax interest-free tax times
  • Authorized contracts and agreements
  • Authorized an agreement with Monroe County for the Senior Nutrition Center and amended the Nutrition Center budget


The next Town Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 19 2008 in the basement meeting room at Town Hall, 11 South Main Street, and will begin at 7:00 P.M. local time.
